Graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School (1970).

Between 1970 and 1990 – soloist dancer at the Bolshoi Theatre. Danced lead roles in ballets of classical repertoire.

Starting in 1980, due to his perfection in duet classical ballet dance he was chosen to be a permanent partner of the great ballet dancer Maya Plisestkaya, also pairing with Ekaterina Maximova and Natalia Bessmertnova.

Worked together with many renowned baller-masters and art directors such as Yuri Grigorovich, Vladimir Vasilyev, Michael Lavrovsky, Boris Galanter, and Yevgeny Macheret.

Performed in filmed versions of classical ballets – “Swan Lake” (1977), “Seagull” (1982), “Those enchanting sounds…” (1981), “Lady with a doggy” (1986), “Three playing cards” (1983), appeared in a TV documentary “A known and unknown Maya Plisetskaya” (1987), played in “Dreamers” feature TV film (1989), danced in the benefit performance of Ekaterina Maximova (1994) held at the Kremlin Congress Palace.

Between 1990 and 1994, toured many countries of the world as a member of the “Bolshoi Stars” troupe led and directed by Natalia Bessmertnova.

Graduated from the ballet-master department of the State Institute of Dramatic Art (Moscow) with a diploma of “Ballet-master and instructor in ballet dances” (1986), taught duo dances at the Moscow Choreographic School (1989-1991).

In 2000, became a producer of an international ballet troupe, touring many countries of the world and presenting ballet performances of classical repertoire; staged “Carmen Suite” ballet for the “Metropolitan Ballet” (U.S.A., Arlington) and together with Marianne Ryzhkina, soloist dancer of the Bolshoi Theater, performed a choreographic piece “Death of a Rose” to the music of Maler (choreographed by ballet-master Roland Petit) at that theatre.
